The Audi family and the Stickley family have more in common than many realize. Here is a brief timeline of their relationships throughout the last century.

• In 1928, Elias Audi launched his furniture business in Manhattan. Since that time, when shopping for fine furniture, NYC residents knew they could turn to the E.J. Audi showroom.
• E.J. Audi and Leopold Stickley became friends, and E.J. Audi was the country's largest distributor of Stickley furniture for many years.
• His son, Alfred Audi, accompanied his father on trips to Leopold Stickley's dealer events in upstate New York, so he was very familiar with the Stickley product.
• Alfred Audi joined his father's furniture business after graduating from Colgate University.
• When Leopold's widow offered to sell the struggling manufacturing company to Alfred in the 1970s, Alfred and his wife Aminy accepted the challenge and rebuilt L. & J.G. Stickley to the success it is today.

The Audi family has never forgotten their roots in the world of Manhattan furniture. New York City has been home to an E.J. Audi or Stickley, Audi & Co. showroom since 1928. We proudly moved into a spectacular new Manhattan location on West 25th Street in 2007.
