Unmatched Distinction of Oak Office Furniture

Oak Office Furniture

As a business professional, you know that your office speaks volumes about you when clients and vendors visit. And few furniture selections provide a message of confidence, success, and substance as powerfully as oak office furniture from Stickley.

Yes, there are other elegant office suites offered at Stickley, Audi & Co., but if you are looking for oak, then Stickley Mission oak is the way to go. Solid and beautifully hand-crafted, a Stickley desk or oak wall unit will last a lifetime and beyond. The hand-rubbed finish, the timeless design, the quartersawn white oak, the legacy of true Craftsman furniture…they all tell the world that you know enough to select the very best.

And if your office is in your home, we understand that your office furniture occasionally doubles as your family room, as loving family members wander in and out of your workspace. A solid oak desk or writing table can stand up to everything from business meetings to coloring books. A mission style bookcase can store your children's DVDs just as easily as it holds your business volumes.

Classic Architectural Design - Historic Craftsman Furniture

Craftsman Furniture

At the turn of the last century, furniture tastes evolved from the elaborately decorated Victorian styles to the almost austere design of Craftsman furniture, also known as Arts & Crafts or Mission style. Gustav Stickley was surely the most well known spokesperson for this trend, and his factory in Eastwood, New York began making this furniture in quantities that made it affordable to more people. Thus began the popularity of this furniture style, which also became the name of a lifestyle (The Craftsman magazine was published by Stickley), architectural designs (plans for Craftsman-style homes were published in the magazine), and a cottage industry of artists who introduced pottery, metalworking, embroidery designs, carpets, wallpapers, etc. to complement the Craftsman philosophy.

While the style's popularity faded during World War I, it came back into popularity in the late 1980s, and that popularity continues today. Examples include the high demand for Craftsman style oak office furniture, Mission bedroom sets, and Arts & Crafts designs on hand-knotted oriental rugs. Stickley, Audi & Co. offers a wide range of Craftsman styles through our Stickley Mission Collection.
