Your Choice of Wooden Rocking Chairs
At Stickley, Audi & Co., we offer rockers of every size and style. We have glider rockers, swivel rockers, upholstered rockers, and wooden rocking chairs. Among the most classic of the wooden rockers is the Comb Back Rocker, which is of the Windsor style. Although redesigned slightly in 1987, a variation of this rocker has been part of Stickley's Cherry Valley Collection since 1930. A recent addition to Stickley's rocking chair collection also has its roots in 1930 - the fully upholstered Collin Rocker. Named for the family that first owned the Fayetteville, NY furniture factory which Leopold Stickley eventually purchased, this very comfortable rocker is a revival of an original Cherry Valley design from 1930. Rocking chairs are considered "occasional" chairs. Another example of an occasional chair would be a fabric or leather chaise. Occasional chairs can be used in a variety of settings, alone or grouped, and tend to fill important spaces in a design, such as facing a hearth or residing in the corner of a master suite. An Elegant and Artful Leather Chaise
There are times when a piece of furniture can truly be a work of art. Perhaps the finest example of that concept is the dramatic John Widdicomb Leleu Chaise. Inspired by the works of Jules and Andre Leleu of the early 20th century, this chaise is both modern and timeless. This luxurious item is made from a continuously curved mahogany frame, and is available as a fabric or leather chaise. This chaise makes a strong style statement in any setting. Not all chaises are used as free-standing occasional seating, as wooden rocking chairs might be. A chaise is often included as part of modern sectional sofa sets. Your Stickley, Audi & Co. designer will be happy to help you select the perfect chaise for your home, and our online Room Planner can help you decide where to place it.
